There are usually four options for laying floors:

1. Solid Wood Flooring

The greatest advantage lies in the natural wood grain and texture of the surface layer, but the change in moisture will cause the natural wood to swell and shrink. It is easy to form slits and even tilt. In Hong Kong, which is relatively humid, in fact, it is better to choose solid Engineered Flooring.

2. Engineered Flooring

The surface layer is solid wood and the middle layer is splint. It is a large buckle plate installation, seamless after laying, also called seamless floor.

3. Laminate Flooring

The main difference between laminate and wood flooring is that the surface layer is not solid wood, but is a kind of plastic fiber material with various patterns printed on it. It is also called high pressure board. Composite panels and fiber boards are easy to manage and can be easily maintained with clean water.

4. Porcelain Wood Effect Tiles

Strictly speaking, porcelain Wood Effect Tiles is a type of tile, not a wood board, and its surface is burnt to make a wood grain pattern. If you like the look and feel of solid wood, but want to be easier to maintain, you can choose a porcelain wood grain floor tile. Naked eye can not tell whether it is a tile or a solid wood floor. It retains the texture of solid wood and even imitates some insect effects. The wood grain style includes teak, rosewood, rosewood, oak, etc. The texture is stronger than solid wood flooring. Users can make neat laying according to their preferences: a uniform arrangement or slash paving effect. Wood grain tiles have the characteristics of moisture resistance, insect resistance, wear resistance, fire resistance and deformation resistance of general ceramic tiles, and are not affected by the cold shrinkage and thermal expansion characteristics of solid wood flooring.
