S.P.A.C.E.: Interior Design Styles Re-defined.
SIGNATURE represents a series of creative techniques which Darren often used in his design projects. The most important point of a great design is to suit the personal taste and style of an individual client while bringing in creative solutions from the designer's perspective.
The picture on the right demonstrates the use of geometric shapes and textures. The texture of the wallpaper and the metallic objects attached to the wall visualize a sense of geometric irregularity while regularity still prevails. It marks a certain degree of departure from the general conformity, resulting in slight or considerable interruption of the overall design.
The following is a list of common techniques from Darren's Signature series, to name a few:
- Dynamic pattern-mixing
- Rhythm in elements
- Symmetrical or asymmetrical balance
- Proportional placement
- Natural lighting and colour perception
- Geometric shapes and textures
Prestige is a design style that tends to be luxurious, over-the-top and opulent. It’s a dramatic design style, perfect for a homeowner who enjoys making a statement.
The Prestige style can incorporate some features of Victorian design for example: velvet furnishings, tufting, plush and antiques. The colour palettes are particularly bold—think purples, turquoise and reds.
At its core, Asian design is a fusion of several different styles that range from Chinese, Japanese and exotic Indian themes. Yet, it is often dominated by oriental influences that have originated in the Far East several centuries ago.
Balance is often the key defining aspect of an Asian style. We need the right harmony of not just the colors but also different textures and elements of the surroundings.
The minimalist with a twist of contemporary style: our Concise style takes notions of contemporary design and simplifies it further.
Colour palettes are neutral and airy; furnishings are simple and streamlined, and nothing is excessive or flamboyant in accessories or décor.
Minimalism is ultimately defined by a sense of functionality and clean lines.
Eclectic style is a calm mix of periods and styles while creating a cohesive look through color, texture and shape. Eclectic decorating is a careful gathering of interesting elements that all work together.
Our Eclectic style embraces freedom of expression, breaking rules, and mixing and matching. It could be a combination of Scandanavian and coastal styles, or industrial and traditional styles.
